high-carbon ferrochrome

高碳铬铁

The most important raw material for producing stainless steel with high carbon ferrochrome is mainly used in the    production of stainless steel, ball bearing steel, tool steel, nitrided steel, heat strength steel, quenched and    tempered steel, carburized steel, and hydrogen resistant steel. The main applications are as follows:

(1) Ferroalloy production

Chromium iron occupies a very important position in ferroalloys. Chromium iron is widely used as a reducing agent in    steel smelting. Chromium iron can reduce oxides in ores such as vanadium, silicon, and manganese, thereby obtaining    transition metal elements and improving the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of alloys.

(2) Stainless steel production

Stainless steel is an alloy steel with a chromium content of over 10.5%, mainly used for manufacturing    corrosion-resistant equipment and industrial components. Chromium can combine with oxygen to form a dense oxide    film, preventing further corrosion on the steel surface. Chromium in ferrochrome is one of the important components    in stainless steel that significantly improve corrosion resistance.

(3) High temperature alloy manufacturing

High temperature alloy is an alloy that can maintain corrosion resistance and mechanical strength in    high-temperature environments. It is mainly composed of elements such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and    aluminum. Chromium in ferrochromium is one of the important components in high-temperature alloys, which can enhance    the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy, while also inhibiting the grain growth of the alloy.
